Pause on Error

The second ever, community driven developer event, Pause on error is happening the 21st of January, 2010 in Portland, OR.

We will be presenting some of the lessons we have learned about the differance between developing custom solutions and products, as well as how they have affected our newest product, due for release the first half of this year.

Section 508 system deployed

We have finished and deployed a system designed from the ground up for section 508 compliance.

We have a client, Ohio Legal Rights Service, who contracted us to build a case management system for them from the ground up.

It is designed for and has been deployed for their entire user base, some of who are vision impaired, but using aggressive deployment, we have it working well with their screen reading software, JAWS.

Medical Physics System Deployed

A medical physics firm, Global Physics, has just deployed a system built by us entirely in FileMaker for managing the quality control and testing of radiation treatment system used in medical procedures for a variety of purposes, including cancer treatment.

The detail, process certification and audit logging requirements are of the highest standard, but it was a great system to build and we are proud to get the chance to build something to such exacting specifications.

New Product Plan Announced

At the great Pause on Error event Court Bowman announced plans for a new product.

During his discussion on the 11 basic rules for developing a product and how they differ from custom software development, president of Cleveland Consulting, Inc. Court Bowman announced their plans for their next product. A FileMaker system designed specifically to make data synchronization simple and easy to deploy for any FileMaker system.

There were over 100 people in attendance at the event and the impressions were overwhelmingly positive.

The demonstration of the new product went well, and although time was short, the presentation was successful in showing how synchronization can be deployed in under 20 minutes to a solution of almost any size. The first beta was announced, and anyone wanting to participate should contact Court directly at court@clevelandconsulting.com to express their interest.
