Eden Foods

Eden Foods, one of the country's largest manufacturers of organic food, maintains an online shopping site for those customers who can't get Eden's products locally. Their increasing site traffic required that they augment their existing FileMaker Pro based online store with a faster back-end database. We combined an elegant new interface designed by Chris Heine with HostedStore, a leading lasso-based eCommerce solution. Portions of the site are run directly from FileMaker Pro, allowing Eden to easily change the format of their nutritional information and recipes, while the store's eCommerce engine is run from MySQL for speed. All the financial data from all the departments is available for review from one common location so it can be entered into their accounting package easily. This allows them to have a common point of reference to track all their financial activities in a system that is powerful enough for them to manage all their revenue streams while maintaining the ability to modify it and add to it themselves.
